It was made to appeal to wide range of audiences, so the plot wasn't so complex, but prominently featured super powers of Wonder Woman. The show's quality was par with most other top shows of the time. Wonder Woman might have been conceived encouraged by this cultural background. During the '70s live action show the 6 million Dollar Man, was a success due to the interesting usage of special effects. Without her, the show probably would never have gained the popularity that it did. Wonder Woman 1984 is unlikely to deal with such a plot since most of DC's heroes aren't active at this point in the timeline, but the implications of Diana using the Golden Eagle Armor are tremendous.The success of this show can be attributed largely to the casting of Lynda Carter who was believable as Wonder Woman. Knowing that war was the inevitable outcome, Diana took the Golden Eagle Armor from her room on the Watchtower base to signal that she was ready to play the part of a soldier and go to war. The Golden Eagle Armor was introduced in DC comics during the 1996 Kingdom Come event when Lex Luthor assembled the villains of Earth to fight against the Justice League. The use of the armor doesn't grant Diana with any new powers, but it does give her added protection and teases the significance of the threat she is facing.
